We’ll give you the who, what, where, when and why. We’ll give you contact information regarding where to fuel up, where to catch a quick bite while there and where to lay your head before the next day’s action.

For those who don’t care for these events and just want a relaxing day on the water, we’ll give you a heads up on what to expect from these events in your area in terms of boat traffic. We’ll tell you when it might be a good idea to get to the bait shop or the launch a little early or perhaps launch at a nearby location that particular day in order to get to your spot on time.

For you redfish tournament anglers, we’ve got a bunch of stuff for you. Before events, we’ll do our best to keep you informed on the myriad things that affect the fishing. Things like the status of river diversions, gas availability and bridge and lock procedures are just a few of the things we aim to keep you abreast of as you plan your trip to the mecca of redfishing.



	ABOUT US Welcome to lafishrodeo.com! You’ve asked for it and now it’s here. Louisiana is blessed with the best inshore and offshore fishing in the United States and with that comes competitive fishing events. Lots of events! And we cover them all right here. Unique to the culture of Louisiana is the presence of fishing rodeos. These are simply competitive fishing events. Some offer cash and merchandise prizes, some offer bragging rights, but all offer a good time with good food and good people. Each year there are new events to the south Louisiana scene and 2008 is certainly no different. We’re proud to introduce the CCA/RFRI Delta Trout Shootout and the Plaquemines Parish Redfish Series scheduled for this summer. Check out the links and the master calendar for details. It’s not official yet, but we’re also working on bringing back the Empire South Pass Tarpon Rodeo. So check back frequently for details.
