Spots
n’ Dots Fishing Rodeo
December 6, 2008 1:00 – 5:00 PM
Entrance of the Plaquemines Parish Orange Festival
A fishing rodeo with a twist! In conjunction with the Plaquemines
Parish Orange Festival, we’re proud to introduce the Spots ‘n
Dots Fishing Rodeo. It’s a redfish spot contest. And it’s a speckled
trout spot contest! Enter to win cash prizes for the redfish
with the most spots and the speckled trout with the least spots.

That’s right! We’re also counting the spots on a speckled trout!
They have to be on the body of the fish and we’re only counting
one side of the fish – your choice – and the fish has to be legal
(12 inches). But catch the right fish and you could cash in!
Any fish could be a winner! No matter how good or not so good
December 6 might be, that one freaky redfish with twenty spots
or that speckled trout that’s almost barren of spots could be
worth a bundle!
Benefitting Plaquemines Parish Toys for Tots and RFRI, the Spots
‘n Dots Fishing Rodeo is the first of its kind in Louisiana.
For a $30 entry fee, participants receive the chance to win a
$500 cash prize in either category as well as entrance in the
Orange Festival. Enter here online soon! or
look for tickets all along Hwy 23.
Look for the Toys for Tots boxes at your favorite Plaquemines
Parish boat launch or at the Spots n’ Dots tent at the Orange
Fest. Bring a new-in-the-box toy and make a child’s Christmas
this year!
